Spaceports are evolving from government to commercial for a new customer - visit one and take a ride.

 

Spaceports

Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) located at Wallops Island, Virginia, is owned and operated by the Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority (VCSFA).  MARS has a launch facility with two medium class launch pads for liquid and solid launch vehicles.  Current manifest includes: COTS CRS resupply missions to ISS starting in 2012; and NASA LADEE to the Moon in 2013.  Most recent launch was the first Operationally Responsive Space satellite (ORS-1) on June 29, 2011 for DoD in support of U.S. troops around the world.

Kodiak Spaceport in Alaska is the Nation's first non-federally owned commercial spaceport.

Space Florida is fostering the growth and development of a sustainable space industry in Florida.

Spaceport America is quickly growing to support most notably Virgin Galactic.

Mojave Spaceport in California is proud to be "America's first inland spaceport."

Spaceport Europe is located in French Guiana and is an overseas department of France.
